Peseux7056

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Does anyone know anything about how cannon pinion friction is obtained in a peseux 7056 watch movement, I'm trying to fix a vintage rotary watch which has that movement in it. I diagnosed poor cannon pinion friction and obtained a new cannon pinion but found it just seems to "sit" on the pinion and not sort of snap into place like most do.

The watch runs but stops around 10pm when I assume friction is needed to advance the date wheel.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think your right, the cannon pinion is obviously not the correct one. Since my post I checked through my scrap movements and found a peseux 7046. I tried the cannon pinion from that and it snapped on fine.

The watch is now running but probably needs a full service. I'll have to find time for that.

Thanks very much for the info.
