I'd appreciate an opinion on this pocket watch. The case bears the W&D logo but the movement appears to be unsigned. What style of second hand (whose pinion looks horribly offset) would be appropriate?

Thanks

Roy

I think you may need to look under the dial and perhaps the balance cock for any additional info. The cock has some ornate engraving that may lead somewhere.  There is some suggestion that Aegler and even Cyma have produced movements for these W&D cases.

Good luck with your quest.

Just an afterthought, is the ratchet wheel click damaged, it just looks a bit odd and perhaps dysfunctional. I may be way off on that though.

The movement is known as a 3/4 Plate. I would remove the dial and see if there's an I D if not one way of identifying the movement is by the key-less work. Post a photo on here. The Bestfit catalogue has good info on P/W movements. You could look out for old I D catalogues on ebay, these types of info are invaluable to the watch repairer.
