Cheap Lorus Chrono Case Back Problem

Recommended Posts

After being asked for £15 to change the £1.99 battery, I decided to do it myself.

Big mistake. The snap back came off easy enough but I cannot get it back on. Too hard for finger pressure.

Any idea on what the best home method is?

Thanks.

You will have to use a press fitted with a die that matches the profile of your watch, Lee had a great solution to make a custom die for glass insertion, the same process could be used to make a die to allow the back on your watch to be pressed on safely.

Whatever you do, be careful not exert pressure on the crystal, only press on the case.

Here's a link to Lees solution:- http://www.watchrepairtalk.com/topic/460-curved-glass-easy-home-made-press/
