What I need help with is information... What ARE these?

The copper item is thought by Dad to be a Tibetan "Bird" bowl but this matches nothing I can trace on the usual search engines.  The near-black one is thought by him to be bronze (I'm not sure) and an oriental incense censer.  After all, it does have a holey lid.  Anyone read pictographs?

I'm pretty certain, due to the length of time he thinks he's had these, that they're not modern knock-offs.  However, I understand knock-offs aren't a modern idea...

Any help, only on what they are, are for, are called or aged would be massively appreciated.

Possible at the weekend, thanks, but this site is "immediate" and it doesn't hurt to ask!
