Hi all

My superocean is misbehaving. When I wind it and place it on the table it runs perfectly for around 2 days. When I wear it (after ensuring that it is fully wound) it will stop randomly, sometimes after 10 minutes, sometimes after half a day. I give it a tiny shake then it is fine again. It doesn't stop at any specific time, it is very random. Any advice why it is doing this?

It might need a clean. There might be a loose or cracked jewel. A jewel or related problem can manifest itself by the movement only running normally in certain positions. I've certainly encountered this in a couple of my own watches over the years.

It sounds as if it needs a good strip down and see what the problem could be, most just need a good clean but as WillFly says it could be a lot more and the only way of telling is by taking the whole movement apart.
