Im trying to figure out how to power down the main spring on a Seiko 6309-7040. I have read that the rotor and something else needs to be removed in order to access the anti-unwind mechaism. Does anyone know of a video or picture tutorial on how to do this? Thanks in advance for any information.

Move the rotor until you expose the barrel click spring as shown in the picture. Use a good fitting screwdriver to turn screw "A" ever so slightly in a clockwise direction while at the same time pushing the click spring "B" out of engaugement with the ratchet wheel in the direction of the arrow with a piece of pegwood.  Now hold the click in this position and slowly allow the screwdriver to turn anti-clockwise releasing the spring tension.

I believe you need to remove the autowinding module first.

Otherwise the winding/reduction wheel will spin quite fast, if at all, and this may damage the magic lever.
