Does anyone have a seitz or other jeweled pivot gauge? I have an idea I'm working on and needed some measurements of these tools.

Also I've noticed some of them just appear to be straight holed disc type jewels with no oil cups, can anyone verify this?

You should be able to buy a new one or get one from ebay. There are many types of jewels about not all are used for train work, post a picture so we can see what you have.

do you mean piece of metal with installed jewels and numbers above them with hole size? If yes I have one from uncle larry in reasonable condition. Which measurement do you need?

Yep that's the one Rafal. Plate thickness and jewel diameter. Plus I'm interested if they are flush with the surface or recessed. A pic would be awesome too.

Thickens is about 1,05mm with 20mm length 115mm. Front face - jewels are flush with surface, other side not as jewels are not thick as this aluminum bar. Size of jewels is about 1mm, I don't think it matters as most important is hole sizes, so it can be any outside size for jewels if it has right hole in it.

You grabbed it before I could! They're decently rare :/

I was lucky because it had some damage at back so price was good as well. I managed to clean it and it seems ok now, all jewels are good. no cracks.

Thank you you very much Rafal! Great tool! I've seen ones that have half size holes 7-7.5-8-8.5 ect. Do you find the graduation on yours sufficient?

For my needs it seems to be ok. I usually use pivots 7, 11, 14, so no half sizes, and rule for jewels for me is one size biger to get proper fit. You know 5% side shake etc.

Hey Rafal, been belaying around with all kinds of alloys . Is your tool very rigid or does it flex a little?
