K&d Inverto No. 17

I bought a staking set on Ebay and it arrived a couple days ago. It is in great shape for being almost a century old. And aside from the subpunches, it is only missing two pieces.

This is it. A K&D Inverto #17.

Two questions.

1. All the punches are pretty dirty and most of the hollow punches have dirt/dust/polishing compound in the holes. What is the best way to go about cleaning them? I thought maybe a dip in the ultrasonic with some lighter fluid.

2. I am something of a completist. And even though I may never have need of them. I would like to get the two missing punches. I tried Uncle Larry's, but he doesn't have the ones I need. They are #45 and #46. Anybody got a line on those?

How about a Bergeon equivalent? ofrei and cousinsUK offer them I think. As for cleaning, I suppose the ultrasonic will do fine and also, lightly non scratch/fine steel wool or similar...you don't want to change, even slightly, the shape (diameters, etc,).

Thanks Bob, I hadn't thought of the bergeon punches. Though I do want to keep it as original as possible.

There is very little to clean off the outside of the punches. Only one or two with some slight surface rust. I have some fine brass wool to address that. Thanks for the tip. I will be very careful touching them up.
