Movement Identification

Evening all this is my uncles watch which has a broken jewel on the escapement wheel I don't have the kit to replace so wondered if you could identify the movement to I could source some spare parts!

Good morning,

I'm sure that the movement is French Ebauches. I can't read the calibre number from your photo but here is a link that may help identify it.

Ranfft also list many FE movements. If you do a search in google Calibre FE with the number you should find it.

There's a logo stamped on the movement - in the lower part of your first photo. Check it against these listed here...

Excellent that is the one a FE 4611 with day date! Anyone have a spare one?

In my experience the jewels are sold by size, not calibre.

 

You would need the outside diameter of the broken jewel and the pivot size. It is possible to fit it without a jeweling kit if you are careful (I have fitted them before using my staking set). 

 

Sorry I can't be much more help - if I had one here I could measure it up for you to tell you which ones to buy, but I have checked and I don't have one :(
