Evening,

I've been staring at this for far too long and my web searching has been fruitless, though interesting in respect of other watches. I can't be the only one with this issue.

This is my sons Timex, he likes it a lot though somehow managed to knock the bezel off. Doesn't know how and lost the bezel for some time. Luckily he found it again!

My first foray into case issues and I'm learning. Now I'm guess the missing piece is a spring? Would anyone know what shape/size it is? I'm looking to perhaps fashion a replacement or source something similar. I've tried the dental floss trick to hold it on, making it bi-directional. It works to a fashion but doesn't fill me with confidence. I'd really like to give it, it's click back.

In terms of tightening it (last picture) I guess by bending the wavy wire to make it grip better or would the ratchet spring be/should be sufficient to hold it in place?

Thanks in advance

Thanks Andy, much appreciated. Was that one you made or pulled from another watch? Assuming it's one you made what's the diameter of the wire? Thanks once again.
