I do not work on clocks (watches only) so I am unfamiliar with the tools used to repair them. I was brought this interesting piece today and was told it was a tool for repairing clocks. Hopefully, someone can help me identify if it is for clocks, what it is called, and what it is used for.

Thanks so much!

Melissa

I believe it may be a specimen holder for an electron microscope, TEM or similar???

There are many variations in designs, but it's very similar in the generic form. Or it may be a custom or prototype design?

Search in google for takigen and you might find the answer

Takigen is a hardware manufacturer - hinges, handles, latches etc.
