Hi all! Thanks for letting me join the group!

I’ve just started tinkering with old watch's that were left in drawers for years and got hooked 😀

I have had apart some quartz watches and managed to fix them, next step is to hopefully service a couple of my

Dad's old manual wind watch's that I keep putting off, very daunting remembering where everything goes,

last thing I want is to wreck them (sentimental value not expensive watch's)

Apologies now if I ask any stupid questions 🤪 so be kind!!!! 🤪

Welcome to the forum from another Mancunian.

You may want to practice with other mechanicals before you start on anything with sentimental value.

No such thing as a stupid question, if you don't know then ask.

Hi there, I recently moved to Manchester, but my tools are still in transit, so sitting on my hands. Let us know if there is anything we can help with. I would echo what @AndyGSi says and practice for a while before you go at anything of value, or there could be tears before bedtime 🙂
