If I get talk to anyone about watches, they have no idea just how disgusting bracelets etc can get, so I thought let's post your favourite (most gross) photos here.

Unfortunately I don't have any because I've always cleaned the watch before photographing.

25 years ago, working on cheaper vintage stuff, I'd say 75% of the bracelets were the expanding type. My boss made a tool that would stretch them out, they'd get cleaned with a toothbrush and Mr. Clean or similar with lots of hot water, then finally into the ultrasonic on the expander tool. Still killed the US solution in about 3-4 bracelets, they were generally packed with gunk. Awful. Never took any photos though.

Figured I'd copy these from my post in the 404 Club as the worst I've ever seen.

To add that I forgot and left the ultrasonic without cleaning it and returned the next day to a white mass growing on top of the water.

I've posted elsewhere on here, I've found the best ever product for shifting this matter is traffic film remover (TFR), the stuff they spray on your wheels at the car wash. In a jam jar with the strap and case, a slug of TFR then cover with boiling water. Then into the ultrasonic, like I said on the other post, you will be amazed. Must add a disclamer though, wouldn't recommend with anything with printed or painted details or anything gold plated.
