Hi,

Could someone please explain the proper way to adjust the beat error on these ? I've only ever done it on balances where the hairspring collet has a groove and you can just use a screwdriver blade to move it one way or the other. I've managed to move this one (I think) with a strong pair of tweezers but I damaged the hairspring badly at the same time... Hopefully there is an easy way to adjust these. Beat error is around 8+ ms so I can't really leave it like that..

Thanks,

Elie

Adjusting beat error by moving the h/ spring collet is not for the inexperienced.. Here is vid but be aware one tiny slip of the screwdriver and it can be fatal.

Thanks for your input. The issue with this specific balance is that the hairspring collet doesn’t have a groove/space in the collet to fit a screwdriver blade, the collet is sort of square with sharp angles.
