Hello.

I have recently inherited my Great grandmother's mantel clock. But, it is running a bit slow. I was wondering if there is a way to adjust it?

what is your definition of a bit slow?

Any idea when the clock was last serviced?

I can point out the regulator but I  know nothing else

it looks like your standard two piece regulator the arm is all the way on fast and the regulator itself could probably be bumped  little faster but we don't know how slow this is it may be beyond regulation.

Thank you for your help.

I'll give it a go. That bit moves very easily.

Grampa was a watch maker, so I don't suppose it has been serviced since he passed.

I'm not sure where it's take it for a service. I'm in Athlone Ireland.

Line up the regulator by following the red line and spots then adjust accordingly. The movement has had a replacement platform which is the wrong size and is from another movement as it has had holes drilled in it that do not match your movement. It also has the wrong screws put in. It has been re-bushed and not finished properly. To me it is a bloody mess.
