Installing a new crystal and gasket to a watch. ID of housing is 33.5 mm. The chosen gasket has an OD of 33.5 mm and an ID of 32.5 mm. The original crystal measured at 33.0mm OD. This size yields an interference of 0.5 mm which seems excessive.  Should I select a crystal with a diameter closer to 32.5 mm or say 32.6 mm.

Many videos on installing these items but none show how to size.

Thanks for your comments, Dave

M,

Thanks for the reply. I thought I watched all the Essinger videos but I missed this one or didn't watch it to the end.

I'll go with the 32.6 diameter crystal.

Thanks again for your help, Dave
