Seiko DX 6106-7589 hands sizes and recos

Recommended Posts

Hello Team,

I have restored an nice specimen of Seiko DX 6106-7589 and struggle with the hands now.

Can anyone please share the sizes for original baton style hands - diameter and length?

The one you see in the picture is from nh35 spares I have, not original. Those hands are larger and don't fit.

I hope those are interchangeable to a a degree, so looking for some other model I could find a donor hands from.

Thank you.

There might always be exceptions but generally mechanical Seiko hand holes are all the same so finding replacements shouldn't be an issue. Finding original model specific hands might be trickier but sometimes Seiko used the same hour and minute hands for divers and dressier watches and everything between. You can find some info here http://cgi.julesborel.com/cgi-bin/matcgi2?ref=SEK_CS^6106-7589

The julesborel hand codes don't make sense. Your watch should (judging by Google) have wide rectangular baton hands but there seem to be many different types with the same code.
