I'm hoping to find a case for a Venus 188 I'm working on but as other threads have discussed these are difficult to find. But what about using a case from some other newer movements that are similar size (linge 14") like a Valjoux 7730 or 7734? I presume pusher position would also be an issue but I don't see that there are measurements for pusher locations degrees from stem for instance. Thoughts?

The Venus 188 is a mechanical chronograph movement produced by Venus SA, a Swiss watch movement manufacturer. The specific positions can vary slightly depending on the design of the watch case, but the start/stop pusher is typically positioned at 2 o'clock and the reset pusher at 4 o'clock.
