Hi everybody my odissey with my first service continues[emoji18].

After I reassembled my eta 2836 I found that the rate variation change very fast from -10 sec/day till 40 sec/day in the same position. The beat error is ok around 0,4 and the amplitude is 300.

Is normal to have that great variation in rate. Do I have to wait some days to start to regulate the accuracy?

This is one of the most important tools you require when working on watches. If you have a watch that is magnetised, there is no at her way to sort the problem.

You can get them quite cheaply on eBay. This is the type I used to start with before buying a more sophisticated unit.

To use it you hold the watch against it then draw it away over a distance of about 450mm before releasing the red button. Occasionally you have to repeat the process.
