Hi

I read about some staking tool set that also can handle jewelling, is this Bergeon 5285-B set capable of jewelling(insert) work?.

I got this Bergeon 5285-2 set:

The answer to your question is no. Have a look at a jeweling tool with punches and stakes and they are different to what you see on this video. Bergeon tools are very expensive I think over priced. In my time I had a jeweling tool with all the bits that I think was made by Favorite and a staking tool with punches and stakes made by a company in Japan, plus loads of other punchers that I picked up in sale rooms. Have you tried ebay? I see loads of staking tools on there.

Hi, I got this staking set very cheap and unused for ca £170 so I couldnt afford to not buy it.

I have seen there are different bits for jeweling set, just didnt know if it was a way to use it both staking and jeweling. Then i have to search the bay for a jeweler set, I believe one does appear sooner than later at an affordable price :-)

Thats great SSTEEL, unfortunately I have to wait a bit before my funds are back - and its a £84.45 shipping on top of whatever it goes for on last bid - I live in Norway - Bergen.
