Thank you @AndyGSi for follow up. It supposed pressed down by a metal ring/bezel. I haven’t tried it yet. Let me check. Alternatively I may reduce the diameter of the dial, but I would need to mask/protect its face from dirt.

Ah, good one. I've got the crown going into a hole in steel to support it - maybe I'd be better off using plastic thinking about it...

The ultrasonic would be better than nothing and looks like it should hold some small kind of jars for placing the parts in. Dial restoration is very specialised and only worth considering on expensive watches, although some people prefer them with original patina. Again re-plating would be an expensive last resort and not worth considering on most watches unless you're able to do it yourself. Your best just trying to buff the case yourself. Crystals are readily available from the likes of Cousins here in the UK. Edit Here's a Sekonda I've just polished up a bit.

I also put kapton tape on the crown before putting it in one of the holes in the plastic to support it.

Before you start desoldering anything I'd try a decent Silver Oxide battery. What does the other side of the circuit board look like.
