Watch will run for a few seconds if I reset it so I'm assuming it needs a battery.Took it to a local jewelers but he couldn't open the back.See that hump on the back wouldn't budge, someone else said it opens thru the front, stem is 2 piece?what say you?front or back,DSC00498.thumb.JPG.3ec2fa06f0eadad4fbaa58ed54ab66fa.JPGDSC00496.thumb.JPG.90d27125a40ea36ea31f73e7f1cdc8b4.JPGDSC00496.thumb.JPG.90d27125a40ea36ea31f73e7f1cdc8b4.JPG

If you only need to replace the battery, then open the back. If you need to take out the movement, the back opening is too small for the movement to come out. So that needs to come out the front.

to prevent guessing we need a side view of the case. then the thing that sticking out his only to accommodate the battery it's not a battery Hatch

then if you're looking for information this is the expert unfortunately he's retired and no longer repairs them but he has a recommendation

https://www.rondeau.net/

then if you look carefully he recommends sending your watch here for restoration I don't see any service for battery changes though?
