Rolex 2135 - rotor axle issue

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I'm working on a Rolex 2135 right now and I need to replace the rotor axle (the old one is worn and the rotor has too much up/down play).

I've ordered an original NOS axle from an eBay seller, but it's too thick to fit the jewel bearings of the automatic works. My hypothesis is that he accidentally sent me a rotor axle for the 2235 calibre, which is marginally thicker.

Question: would anyone have a 2135 rotor axle and could measure the thickness of the lower part of the "pivot"? See picture. Mine is 0.70mm thick. I hope to hear that someone can confirm that it should be 0.6mm or so.

Best,

CK

Hello everyone,

just sharing with the forum what I found out in the end. In case someone else faces this issue at some point.

So, the pictured axle is indeed the axle for Rolex calibre 2230/2235. The axle for calibre 2130/2135 measures exactly 0.60mm at the indicated point.
