Early Smiths Watch Identification

Hi All,

Another little challenge for you

Could anyone provide any info as to the identification of this, i assume early Smiths watch? Anything like the date/era or model name would be really helpful.

Its marked "Smith" rather than Smiths on the dial, and although the dial looks far from in bad shape i assume this is simply because the "S" has disappeared during the watch's long life...

Theres usually a serial number here, this looks like  pre Hillary Everest

The result is........there's no serial number   I can't see one anywhere on the movement.

it seems Smith made their own movements....
