VINTAGE LUCERNE DIVER BFG866

Recommended Posts

I just bought a Lucerne non-runner which I believe has a BFG866 movement within. I don't know how to repair a watch, but I might be able to complete a swap if I knew what movement to start with.

Can someone recommend a quartz replacement for BFG866? I understand this isn't necessarily a simple thing to do, but if someone recommended the best quartz movement to start with I could evaluate if I wanted to go through the effort and expense of doing it...

I believe I could handle the putting the new movement in correct 3D space using Solidworks and a 3D printer. It would be a project just for fun. I realize the process/result isn't worth the investment.

My spouse gifted me a pack of quartz movements from Amazon.com for less than 10 dollars US. They came with a foam block to cut to fit the movement…

…at least one problem for your project may be getting the hands to fit…

That’s a nice looking watch, though.
