As a follow-up to my earlier resolved question:  http://www.watchrepairtalk.com/topic/2698-waterproof-a-flush-post-crown/

I have a Victorinox Officer's 1884 which needs a new case tube.  After removal, my digital caliper indicates that I need a:

2.5 mm outer diameter crown shoulder

1.8 mm outer diameter case shoulder (for case opening)

1.55 mm inner diameter opening

The closest I can find is:

2.5 mm outer diameter crown shoulder

1.9 mm outer diameter case shoulder

1.55 mm inner diameter

In your experience, can I make this fit into the case without grief? I'd hate to have to send this thing in for a measly 0.1mm!

Thank everyone,

You should be fine with that one Adam. You can always polish it down slightly with 800 grit wet or dry if required.

On order. I like the sanding idea, and in any event I'll use the Loctite as well. I'll let you know how it goes. Thanks for the advice.
