A bit  superficial in places but a pretty neat insight into how a modern watch factiry operates. I love the machine for simulating dropping the watch.

Actually a very informative video. I especially like the way the unfinished movement is passed from one working station to the other: under the desks in a movable strip that stops at each desk and pushes the movement at work's height to be processed, then lowers the movement to bring it to the next station... Excellent planning of a chain assembly line!

Thanks Delroyb. Didn't know Breitling made their own movements - thought they used ETA 

 

Wonder if you end up going completely mad putting bracelets together all day long...

I couldn't believe the that nobody wore hair covering in the clean areas, but I was well impressed with the machine punching out the case blanks from what looked like 1/2" stainless steel bar!

Brilliant film, it just makes me want one more, my favourite one is the 806 from the sixties,I would love one of them, but have to save my pennies,:)
