Hi Kieth, I' assuming it's the hole for the staff and not the hole for the roller that is too big? Next question, how much bigger is it?

It slides on with no pressure needed, no play side to side. Snug fit but not tight. :(

You could use a small drop of 638 loctite retaining compound applied with an oiler. Once cured fit the hairspring and set in beat by rotating the hairspring on the shaft as required.

Came today and fitted roller, now back in 1933 Elgin and running nicely............ Thanks Geo...... :)
