Hello guys again! I am Bruno!

Another project to be done a Junghans cal 687.

First sight, Crown has no groves (seems not to be the properly condition) it’s so plain that finger slips whe trying to winding.

I have made a first seatch on cousinsuk and they don’t offer stem/crown for this.

I found on ranfft.de the model for stem wich is Stem W3144 / W2808.

at least, where can I find this or jow to start this

thannks

Hello Bruno, I've recently got a Junghans working again. A 620. Mine was missing the stem and crown. Your best bet is likely ebay. That's where I got my new old stock stem from. The crown I salvaged from an old quartz watch. Fitted a treat. If your stem is serviceable you should be able to get crown fairly easily.

Do you have any pictures? Good luck

Hello Bearman!

the stem looks fine (picture not so good). It seems I can look for a crown and replace it if it doesn’t break in the process.

brunomartins,

I recently had a crown in similar condition and since the plating was long gone, I just re-knurled it.

I went about it very lightly because I didn't want to loose the rounded appearance and feel from the passage of time.

Hello Bruno,

wow that is smooth. It must be a well used and loved watch. Do you have a pin vice and a digital caliper? Armed with these you'll be able to remove the crown and measure for it's replacement. There's some good you tube videos describing this if you've not seem already.

Any luck with ebay?
