This kind of spring is not meant to be disassembled. You have to clean the combined bearing with the cap jewel in place and to oil through the pivot hole.

I came across one recently in a "Mumbai special". A Favre-Leuba which had it's movement replaced by an Indian made FHF 96-4. It was done to save money. As @Kalanag says, you have to clean it in place.

Thanks Guys!

That‘s a risky manoeuver for a beginner

That's why I purchased a job lot of junk to practice on. Hopefully I won't be a fumble-fingered beginner for the rest of my life! 🙂

I tried to clean a three pointer.  It took over 3hours to replace the little thing. I then lost the bottom  jewel assembly along with the three point springy thing. They are lost tand with gods of lost parts.    Never again. I now check the photos of movements before I purchase an ebay special.

Mike, it doesn't even seem that such a mount would provide ANY "spring" at all.

The spring force comes from the circumference being held in the setting at a different distance from that of the fingers pressing on the top of the capstone.  It looks quite effective yet not very serviceable.

Never had one.

Good luck.
