Bulova 11BLAC stem and crown

Hi, I just acquired a Bulova watch from 1973 and the crown is missing. The stem is still in place and I have measured across the threads as 0.85mm. The question I have is should I order a crown described by Cousins as Tap 8, 0.8mm, or the Tap 9, 0.9mm ? Hope someone can help. Steve.

You need a 0.90mm crown. It is normal to read a bit below the nominal size when measuring a thread or even its unthreaded portion.

the 0.9mm crown fitted perfectly thanks. Got COVID at the moment so I am isolating. Not unwell, but I have had three jabs. Just very bored and wish I could be working on the Bulova.
