Top balance end piece jewel

Hi, i have come across a pocket watch that has a broken jewel in the top balance end piece, can the cap jewel be replaced on it own or do i have to replace the whole thing.

Hi, thanks for your reply, i believe it to be a 30''' 8 day omega goliath i have attached pics. I have found a replacement top balance end piece although that has a tiny chip in aswell and i am finding it hard to get a replacement.

If you can't find a replacement, you could possibly replace just the jewel. It will be burnished in. You need the tools to do that, to keep originality. 

As a last resort I suppose you could ream the hole and friction fit a jewel.
