Hello rpt community,

I have vintage womens  mido auto day date watch I’m going to pretty up.  I’m new to watch repair.   The movement appears to work beautifully.  I need to remove it to clean the dial and do some restore work on the case.  It looks like there is a push bottom stem release on this movement. Correct?  I believe these have a split stem.  To release do I just depress the small spring loaded button and pull, or is there an alignment as well.  The push button is in between two screws holding a bridge over the keyless mechanism.

Thanks

I think that better than guessing, it would be better if you could supply pictures of the movement front and back, back close up that way members will be able to see the layout and help with the problem.  Also if you can find the makers stamp and caliber number, that also would be advantagous. As you can appreciate  Mido watches may use different movement.    It is always useful  to supply pictures along with the question it makes our job that bit easier.   Cheers
