Retro Fitting....

I have serviced a 940.111 Quartz ETA and it only runs in the date crown position. I don't know how to fault find and am thinking about retro fitting with a different movement. It is a 12.5 ligne and I am having trouble finding a replacement.

What should I do?

The 940.111 movement is obsolete so to replace you will need to know the old movements dimensions.

It might just need cleaning but it is difficult to analyse without the correct tools.

It is 28.125mm diameter and I think it is 2.50mm thick! I thought it was the balance stop. Does that trigger the circuit block when it is engaged? Does that make sense?
