Dual Balance Tack with small Screw Holding Pot

I was getting annoyed by occasionally misplacing the balance cock screw when placing the balance in the tack. So I got out my lathe, cut a bar of brass and went to work making the small bowl using cross slides and a three jaw chuck.  Turned out really well and now I have a place for the screw.

Hi JD     a useful addition now you know where it is.  Is it fixed to the jig.

Not sure why I didn’t think of this before. Working on the lathe is a lot of fun as well. I have 13 of them:)
