Hi  Servicing a quartz watch is like any other watch careful dismantling and taking detailed pictures as you go so when re assembling the watch you have some reference as to what goes where.   I depends on how far you want to go with the over haul.      with some      Removal of the circiuit block and coil .and clean the movement as a whole in Benzine/naptha/Isopropyl   dry and lubricate with quartz oil and re fit the block and coil. Others may dismantle the whole watch and re build the choice is yours. To that end I have attached the tech sheets for the 5050 which is a close relative for your guidance not having available the  5080.

Nice. I have never serviced a quartz movement other that just change the battery. Where do you find these technical descriptions ? @watchweasol

Hi I have a collection on my computer gathered from various sources  over time,  Cousins uk have some as do esslingers w.m.Mcgraw and others, The SCWF seiko site has tech bullitins as well.   now known as the watchsite)
