I usually wear two watches each day one for the wrist and one for the pocket!

This is what I am wearing today. Both have several things in common! They both have pocket watch movements. Both are Swiss movements cased in Canada.

The Omega is a Canadian market Omega. The movement is a Regina made by Omega in Switzerland. The movements and dial were then cased in an American Watch Case Co. case made in Toronto.

The Archer is made by a wonderful watchmaker here in Canada. He uses Swiss ETA 6498 movements and German cases. He strips the new movement down and cleans and reassembles it and times it well within COSC specifications. The dial on my is Sterling silver hence the name. Beautifully made watches.

Hello Ian,

That's a nice pair of watches and look in perfect condition,  look forward to seeing others in your collection.

Thanks Roger. The Archer is actually brand new. I got it two weeks ago. It is quite a lovely process as Al builds them to order and includes a DVD with a PDF of the build of my actual watch which is fascinating to read.

I think the OP mentioned ETA 6498 - one up from the ETA 6497 in my Hamilton Khaki Field Officer's Mechanical.

You are right of course - silly me lol.

Yes, its the 6498. With Al's strip down and reassembly and adjustments it is super accurate. I have a thing  as well for slower beat movements, I find them so restful to listen to.
