Wall clock lubrication

Recommended Posts

Hello to everyone,

I’m pretty new in this huge world of watches and clocks and after restoration of a old Molnia pocket watch a started with an wall clock Gustav Becker. I almost finished but I need advice for lubrication: type / brand of oils and alternatives. Many specialists recommend Moebius D5, others Mobil 1 0w40.... and so on.

I am sure that hear I’ll find the appropriate answer.

Thank you!

Windles clock oil is all you need. It is so good it is basically the only clock oil you need for all types of clock movements. You need a finer oil for clocks that have platform escapements.
