Hi, John here..... I come with tidings of great woe.....

Well I'm here to have a peruse & to see if I could repair my own watch!...... Still awaiting a delivery of Screwdrivers, movement holders..... The whole nine yards really.

My watch 'Went in' For a new battery & came out in an astoundingly poor state...... I got well & truly "Served".....

My plan is to attempt a repair, if this proves problematic.... I'll replace the movement & make out I'm Einstein!

The watch in question is a Wenger 7471x/t complete with its Ronda 4220b movement....

As afore mentioned I attempted obtaining 'Professional' Help & really ended up wishing I hadn't..... My immediate issues are: The vast amount of foreign bodies within the watch case, to obtain a replacement Dial Support, repair/replace a bent crown shaft & repair a non functioning date feature... If all that pans out ideally I'd like to repair/replace the glass too, fenestration never was my strong point..... But I'll give it a go.... I'm trying not to turn this watch into 'Triggers Broom'... Note: I sad "Trying"

I did have a go at returning the watch to the repair facility. However they had a sudden onset of amnesia & I could get nowhere with them, then I tried a high street jewellers/posh wotch shop.... Where I received the snooty treatment & a threat of a possible/probable multiple hundreds of pounds outcome.... What is it with these guys? If it doesn't look like it's Cosc certifiable they loose interest, me I don't need certification, I have a Quartz crystal & a power reserve of 44 months..... Adequate I'd say

Anyways, that's me :@}
