From the bit I know about Seiko 5s (I've had one or two over the years), it's actually more straightforward just to replace the whole rotor section - if I remember correctly.

Try tightening first and check for traces of rubbing on the edge of the plate. If tightening doesn't do it, replace.

Hi guys got back onto the seller on ebay about the rotor he's sending me a replacement out as although its now tightened theres still some play. so will fit that when it arrives! cut the butchered strap off and ordered a stainless steel replacement but for now i've roughly modded a old nato i had lying round. Ben
