Prognosis with scratched or cracked jewel?

This jewel (third wheel?) appears to be scratched but not cracked through to the oil cup.  It's a Seiko 6119A.  Watch was very dirty when I got it and it didn't run.  Just noticed the defect as I was about to reassemble after a clean.  Would it be expected to work?  Is there a way to replace the jewel (beginner here).

Thank you

Charlie

They're easy to replace if you have a jewelling tool. If not you could try to find a cheap donor movement. From what I can see in the pics the marks don't look too bad, more to the side of the hole (?) from someone trying to fit the bridge. I'd just fit the gear train and bridge, no barrel or oil, and blow it with your air puffer. If it all spins freely, I'd go with it.
