My Hamilton Daily Wearer

Hi, just thought I'd share some photos of the watch I wear almost everyday to keep my omega speedmaster out of harms way!

It's a Hamilton khaki field watch, 42mm case made of titanium and has a black PVD coating. I've had it over a year and a half now and would highly recommend it. I was worried about damaging the coating wearing it everyday, I'm normally very careful but have knocked it a few times and it has never chipped or scratched. They is a tiny knick next to the crown but that was on when I got the watch and it didn't bother me enough to send it back, especially as it was the only one in stock. It's very comfy and light with it being titanium and seems to be warmer then steel when putting it on in the morning. It's supposed to be water resistant to 100 meters but it does not have a screw down crown so I wouldn't intentionally get it wet. It came on the black strap which is very comfy but I'm trying it on an olive aftermarket strap to try and stop me getting bored!

It's powered by the trusty ETA 2824-2 which loses around 10 seconds a day, some photos below :)

Nice watch Will, I was tempted to get that model at the time but I think it's 44mm? Which I thought might be too big for wearing everyday, I do want a watch with that movement in tho, the automatic in mine is great for everyday use and because it has the date, However I prefer a manually wound watch now and almost every watch I covert has no date apart from the Lange 1, I'd make an exception for that one I think!

hi Ray,

44mm is not extremely big. I'd say it is about the biggest I would wear with ease. I have posted two I made in this forum, one with a Swiss movement and another with a Chinese one. Once you break the 44 mm barrier then you start worrying about big!!! BTW, I like that Hamilton, I've been looking at them myself...and Christmas is coming!!!

@Will, I love your watches too!!!
