  1. So, http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?13&ranfft&0&2uswk&Rolex_59 I relative of mine picked this up for a couple hundred dollars. It ticked but even my timegrapher couldn't pick up a rate/beat and or error. The dial is in very good condition- all lume is dead with scribbling on the inside back case and under the dial that it was serviced in 1943. Some damage from screwdriver slipping and one of the screws that hole the dial feet is gone. This was a lot of fun and now ticking at +24 s/d just have to put back the dial, hands and recase the movement- and buy a more deserving band! I know I still have to get better at taking more pictures, even on the reassembly. Thanks for looking, Dan B.

  2. Is it possible to make a cut in the 11.5 ring and ease it out wider to fit? There would be a small gap at one point, but it wouldn't affect the overall tightness. You could possible use a jeweller's ring sizing rod - which tapers - to gently widen the movement ring.
