  2. Yes, there are cases with date and and day at 6H. I did this list, and had mentioned here before. To move a day disc from a 7S26 to a 7S36 or viceversa, both must be the same version, A and B, or C..

  3. I've always wanted to build a watch from 'scratch', or at least start with basic movement and embellish accordingly. I met a watchmaker, (sort of, on line) who started with ETA 6497/8 and had a variety of dials and hand combinations you could "customize" your own watch. Below pics from his website. I'm not promoting his efforts, just showing what can be done. Good job on your efforts! Can't wait to see more.

  4. A little improvisation from my day job office: The die: Place "crystal" on the die Lower "plunger" - just touching the crystal. Depress plunger and you can see how the crystal compresses - sort of

  5. There's not many that I know these days as many have closed. Here's a few that I know of. https://www.hswalsh.com/ http://www.agthomas.co.uk/ Mahoney Associates, Bristol Address: 58 Stapleton Road Postcode/City: BS5 0RB Bristol County: City Of Bristol England Phone: 0117 955 6800 Not sure if they are still going but in my time they were excellent and very knowledgeable. This one I've found but I know nothing about them. http://www.nwcsupplies.com// This was one of the big main supplies back in my day, I don't know if they are still going, I no longer have their phone number. 6. I serviced this watch a long time ago, but it needed a new case and then I had trouble with the movement rattling in the case. I just got around to finishing it last week. Now I can wear it! Sent from my XT1064 using Tapatalk

  8. Movement is already out - I just sent a stock picture. I can post additional pics of the inside of the case. The case is a bit grimy in the back and near the crown tubes. I wanted to give it a good ultrasonic soak and steam. Before I realized there was a double glass, I [stupidly] tried to remove the outer gasket from the crystal and I've managed to damage it Now I really have no choice - need to figure out how to remove the bugger. My fault as I should have inspected the assembly closer prior to messing with it. I assumed I'd be able to give the glass a good push from the inside. If I had noticed the double glass I most likely would have just left it alone! Lesson learned!

  9. +1 on the loctite if you want it to be waterproof. I guess Rogart is referring to loctite 640, which is low viscosity and will therefore wick round to fill any gaps. It will however be hard to remove the tube in future without heating the case to about 250C. S
