Picked this up for about $10 delivered from eBay.  I've got a handful of these, all 1 jewel movements with cylinder escapements.  The other three are 'Metro' watches and appear to have Gisiger Greder movements.  This 'Oriole' has a Glacier Watch Co. movement that's very similar to the Gisiger's.  They're cheap movements but the styling is very handsome and the practical experience gained has been great for the little invested.  If anyone has some history on these type of watches I'd be interested in knowing, I think they are some kind of knock-off from the 20's perhaps and may be made from 'stolen' components?  I was told there was a major lawsuit back in the day related to this type of watch.  At any rate it was a very educational experience and a good first exposure to the cylinder escapement.
