My Watch Today

This is my watch today. Purchased yesterday for $40 at a vintage sale place.

Any ideas about the age of this watch would be much appreciated.

Engraving on the back.

5H23-5A0A followed by the letters AO in an engraved square

Japan A followed by a squiggle which might be a representation of an S

5N3200

The squiggle on the back is a representation of the logo directly under the 6 mark on the face

Tiny writing at the bottom of the face is Japan 5H23 a logo, followed by 5AOO R

I am unable to say whether the O characters are infact capital o or zero.

Case is 27.5mm wide and 34.5 over the lugs.

Any enlightenment as to what all this means would by really great.

 

The case and bracelet are quite scratched but it does not concern me at all.  May attempt to fix at some time but it really does not bother me.

 

As this is my first attempt at uploading photos, I hope it works OK
