I'm a Fitter and Turner by trade, and I've always loved working with tools :)

I collected a lot of high quality tools during my time in the trade, as I like to use the right tool for the job every time.

Therefore I have some rare and irreplaceable ones that I wouldn't part with for love nor money.

So, my question is: Do you have some watchmaking tools along the same lines? Some tools (besides of course your standard set of screwdrivers) that you just love and wouldn't part with.  Something unique, or that has great sentimental value to you.

Greetings fellow tool fetishist.

I've a pair of Dumont No.7 Fine Curved Tip tweezers made of titanium, which give me a little thrill of pleasure every time I use them, and actually I use them more than any other tweezers.

I'm too new to horology to have sentimental attachments to my watchmaking tools, but I have many beloved violin-making tools..don't get me started :-)

I treasure my ultrasound machine specially well loaded with L&R cleaner. It keeps my mother-in-law at a distance and let me work on the watches! :)

No, seriously, I got several Dumont tweezers different numbers but this generic #5 is the one I use the most. I dress the tips and do anything to keep it in shape just because it is the one I like using! Low quality but I love it, go figure!
