Ice cube trays sound like a good idea and by reading the forum it does seem like a magnet comes in pretty handy too.

And a big, very transparent nylon bag -- both ends open -- to use as a "screen" between the watch and the rest of the world. It avoids the black hole frecuently. Sort of like an intensive care unit/chamber to service the watch!

 

In any case, you'll probably find the best way that works for you.

 

PS. what a good idea using ice trays!
