Having this watch that ain't working after new battery? Only runs for a few second then stops? Seller sold it as non runner saying it only needed a new battery?

Not my watch but been in contact with owner asking me for help? He has looked for a AC contact but couldn't  find any?

Could we find a replacement movement out there or could it be repaired? I thought the coil looked strange but have looked on the net and they all look the same?

looks like a really old obsolete movement, wouldn't be at all surprised if the circuit's simply had its day. Problem I've always thought, these ebay sellers claiming "only needs a new battery" well how do they know? did they try a new battery? and if so why didn't they leave it in there, surely the expense of the battery is worth the easier sale. Would like to help you with finding an alternative but I cant read a caliber number and given that it has some extra function, with the pusher, I'm even less confident that one can be found.

Just what i have learned thru the years? Never trust a seller that says? Just need a new battery?

I will see if i can find out more about the watch and which movement it could be?

it's a MRG 120T if that is any help?

Owner says the backlight is function. So there must be something wrong with the circuit?
