My father in law is intrigued by my watch work and gave me 3 of his old non running 1950s pocket watches to tinker with.

I have found a Miyota 2026 high hand movement which I have fitted to one of them in time for fathers day.

I needed a high hand because the original dial is relatively thick.

I have fitted a set of hour and minute hands from another quartz watch I had around.

My problem is I can't work out how to fit the seconds hand?

The few quartz movements I've worked with until now have had a tube in the main pinion to press the seconds hand down into.

The Miyota 2026 just seems to have a solid rod?

Having looked at the instructions for the 2026 at www.citizen.co.jp/Miyota_mvt

I'm not even sure there should be a seconds hand?

Any advice would be very much appreciated,

Bern

PS. Sorry for the spelling mistake in the title. (Blushing face thingy).

I think I have found what I need.

Miyota 2036

High hands

Hour, minute and seconds.

Any suggestions where I get the movement, a set of standard  hands and a 377 battery from please?
